- Translation
- Main: It is required from the village leaders (kadkhodā), and from other peasants (ru’āyā) and underlings (mutawattī) of the village collectives and subsidiaries of Yazd, the Abode of Worship, that everyone acknowledge [the efforts of] and obey his excellency so-and-so, during the duration of his rule, for he has secured the pure shari’a (sharī’at-i mutahhara) with his generosity. The effects [of his securing the shari’a] are evident, they strengthened the weak, and respected the [rights] of peasants. Considered indispensable and vital to the obligations of his [ruling] wisdom, he ensured the welfare and health of dervishes (darvīshān) and guided his intentions (azīmat) to affect their freedom (farāgh-i bāl). [In so doing] with hands of magnanimity he stuffed the eyes of greed with the dust of indifference (bīnīyāz) and broke the walking legs of the slanderers and depraved-ones with the hammer (matraqa) of reprimand and tied the speaking tongue of the backbiters and seditious ones with the magic of justice. In this manner, he opened the gates of gaiety (bihjat) and happiness (masarrat) on the helpless and destitute (masākin) and built anew the bases of the justice-fostering structures and the pillars of the justice-spreading habitus (umrān) that had been destroyed due to the high winds of misadventure. Were he to govern this territory (dīyār) in such a fashion, he will water (sayyān) the farmland of desires of the residents of this location. For example, if seven days have passed from the beginning of the month, multiply it by two and that is fourteen, then add five to it and it is nineteen. So the sun will stay in Gemini (jawzā) [maybe Taurus (thawrā)] for five days, in Gemini (jawzā) for five days, in cancer (saratān) for five days, and in Leo (asad) for four days. The Moon is in Virgo (sunbula). Whatever is less than five, multiply Meaning: whatever is less than five, multiply it by six, meaning six?? By six and that is the degrees (daraj) on the scale (maydān).

- متن: و کدخدایان و سایر رعایا و متوطیان بلوکات و توابع دارالعباد یزد و درینمعنی که هر کس داند که عالیحضرت فلان در مدت حکومت و متابعت شریعت مطهره را نصیب العین خاطر فیض مآثر ساخته و تقویت ضعفا و رعایت جانب رعایا بر ذمت حکمت خود لازم و متحتم شناخته همگی همت بر رفاه صحت درـ ویشان مصروف و عنان عزیمت بفراغ بال ایشان معطوف داشته و بدست استغنا خاک بی نیازی در دیده آز انباشته پای تردد و آمد شد غمازان و بد نفسان بمطرقه معاتب شکسته و زبان گفتگوی بدگویان و مفسدان با فسون عدالت بسته و بدینوسیله ابواب بهجت و مسرت بر روی عجزه و مساکن گشاده و اساس بنیان عدالت پروری و ارکان عمران دادگستری که از تندباد حادثات انهدام پذیرفته بود از نو نهاده و اگر روزگاری باین قرار حکومت این دیار نماید مزرع امال سکان این محال؟ را ریان خواهد ساخت مصحح؟ شهادت خود را درین صحیفه مرقوم حواشی: فی العلمی؟ بأنّ؟ القمر فی ایّ البّروج آنچه از ماه شد مثنی کن یعنی اگر خواهی بدانی ماه در کدام برجست بنگر که چند روز از ماه گذشته آنرا مثنی کن یعنی دو چندان کن پنج دیگر فضای بر سر آن یعنی پنج دیگر بر آن مثنی مزید کن و ببین که آفتاب در کدام برجست و از آن برج بهر برج پنج پنج حساب کن پس بهر پنج ده بخانه شمس پس در هر برجی که پنج آخر بدان افتد از خانه آفتاب یا کمتر از پنج یا چهار یا سه یا دو یا یک باشد؟ قمر در آن برجست گیر برجی و جای ماه بدان یعنی خانه ...
